As we are coming off of the Oscars and now that we are not too far behind the summer movie releases, we have the film industry pervading our minds.

But where does it all begin? Where do all of these actors and actresses start to then make it into one of these major film feats? Where do the superstars go to learn about the industry? What are the top schools that produce some of the acclaimed filmmakers, directors, producers, animators, actors, and actresses?

We dove in to find the top film schools across the nation at each state and after looking at several data points we found some surprising schools that you wouldn’t necessarily think of first.
